  • Overture 11-21: Peacemaking in Colombia

    Major document, calls for redirecting all US military aid and fumigation funding to human needs, strengthening the Colombian judicial system and development, thanks the US Congress for its actions in this direction, opposes the US-Colombian Free Trade Agreement, affirms Accompaniment and other ways to support human rights, and encourages deepening partnership between US-Colombian churches and presbyteries.

  • Overture 11-18: Report on Human Rights in Colombia

    ACSWP
    The 217th General Assembly (2006) referred some of the issues addressed by 11-21 to the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy. This report to the 218th GA takes positions similar to the overture from Chicago Presbytery and adds concern for similar problems facing the nation and churches of the Philippines.
