Overture 09-05: Addressing the Tragedy of America’s Gun Violence

Major document with pastoral and program-matic actions proposed, calls upon the church to act on its many previous moral statements for reducing gun violence; for closing gun show loopholes, witnessing at sites of gun violence, banning sale and possession of assault weapons and other measures to assist law enforcement, crime investigation and to stop illegal gun sales to the developing world.
