Iraq War Overtures

In general, these overtures confess the pain and error of this war, which has been opposed by the PC(USA) from the beginning, call for prompt planning and implementation of US exit from Iraq, commitment to international rebuilding plan, discharges for conscientious objectors, generous veterans health needs and benefits, withdrawal of US bases and paid contractors, return of its direct oil control to the nation of Iraq, application of US and international law in regard to war crimes and torture.
