Sanctuary Network and Training

Friday, February 10, 2017 to Saturday, February 11, 2017

In this Epiphany Season we seek to ask the question and resource the ministries of the Synod of the Northeast around the theme: "What does it mean to 'offer sanctuary?" How can your faith community be prepared to offer sanctuary to those who need it in this time of direct threat to many in our communities?

Join us for a training February 10-11 at the Stony Point Center to learn what offering sanctuary means, what it entails, and how you can talk to your church or faith community and prepare to offer sanctuary in the months and years ahead. The training will begin with lunch at noon on Friday February 10 and end with lunch at noon on Saturday February 11. The cost of the event ($165 for a single room and $120 for a double room) covers your room and all meals. The Synod of the Northeast, Presbyterian Peace Fellowship, National Sanctuary Movement, and Community of Living Traditions are co-sponsoring. Registration is limited to 45 people, so register today and invite your friends!
